October was National ESOP Month! An employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) is an employee benefit plan that gives workers ownership interest in the company. MacPherson’s is 100% employee owned, and the team took a moment to pause and express gratitude for the many wonderful individuals that make MacPherson’s a great place to work. A few weeks ago, our human resources team set up a card-making station for creating Thank You notes so we can express our gratitude to teams or departments who make it fun to come to work everyday. For every card created throughout the month, we are giving $1 to an arts organization in Reno, Atlanta or the Bay Area.
Armed with glue sticks and gratitude, we got crafting!
