Get The Most Out of Our Customer Engagement Calendar

This calendar is chock full of resources and tools for your team. Are you getting the most out of it? Read on for best practices, an outline of brand new features and a video tutorial on how to use Canva.com to create your own social media assets!

Monthly Media Focuses

We added a Media Focus for each month this year. These focuses are helpful for planning ahead; each theme is supplemented with Vendor Voices content on Art Dog. Instead of choosing a specific holiday or Day of the Year, we plan to focus on each month more holistically.

Planner’s Paradise

The Reminders, To-Dos, Notes & Goals section is a useful space for teams to jot down reminders and ideas. Part planner, part calendar, part brain dump! We’ve amped up the design to include space for ideation, collaboration and list-making.

DIY Digital Kits

In the past we’ve chosen a specific event each month and created a Social Media Kit for you to download: ready made images, posts and lists of hashtags for you and your team’s convenience. We have shifted focus this year: if you are interested in making your own Social Media Kits, we’ve put together a quick tutorial using a free resource, www.Canva.com. The Social Media Kits from 2019 and 2020 are still available on MacPherson’s Brand Connect > Seasonal Marketing Support > Engagement Calendar – Social Media Kits.

Tag Us!

We’d love to know what you think of the calendar, where you hang it and if your team members enjoy the new planner element! Snap a picture of the calendar wherever you reference it… in your office space, behind the register… and tag us on social media, @macphersonofficial!

A Note For Vendor Partners

In an effort to support our retailers in 2021, we are sending out calls for specific kinds of content for Art Dog’s Vendor Voices section. We were delighted by our partners’ responses to our September call for Ink, Illustration and Halloween related content, and wanted to continue to use the blog to support retailer initiatives. We’ll send out reminders throughout the year; we will still accept submissions spotlighting other supplies and materials, as well as projects or promotions related to Days of the Year and any other kind of content your team would like to share with the industry.
