Art Dog’s Fresh New Face

The Art Dog has been publishing industry news and announcements since 2008 and here we are, ten years later, with a new vision and a renewed mission:

Connect the world through creativity by engaging our audience of art materials retailers and vendors to foster an interconnected community by publishing timely, shareable resources and industry news.

Whether you’ve been following Art Dog for a while or joined us more recently, we hope you’ll enjoy our new blog design as well as the new approach we’re taking to the stories and news we share.

We encourage you to interact and participate with us along the way. In hopes of sparking conversation and dialogue, we’ve opened up commenting on our posts, and invite you to submit your own news and story ideas for consideration by contacting us, sharing with your MacPherson’s Account Manager or by emailing us at artdogblog (@)

Joining The Pack


Until January of 2018, the Art Dog had been curated by Frank Stapleton, MacPherson’s former CEO & President. When Frank stepped down, we knew that the blog had a solid following and wanted to keep the news coming to you. This transition presented the opportunity to reimagine how the blog could leverage insights from our greater community to accomplish our new mission.

We formed a cross-functional team that acts as an editorial board to inform the stories and news we share and a production team that brings it all together.

The Art Dog core team consists of:
