Art Dog Live: Trend Forecasting for Back to Business

On May 27th, Director of Merchandising & Product Heather Blaikie kicked off our second installment of Art Dog Live, an ongoing series of virtual discussions created to support our community in staying connected and informed. Art Dog Live features voices from our industry, including retailers, vendors and others connected to the creativity community. We’ll be hosting these discussions throughout the summer; they are a chance to tune into what is going on in our industry in real time and share creative, innovative solutions.

Watch The Video: Trend Forecasting

Our discussion featured three panelists from our vendor partner community: Pete Cole of Gamblin, Bruce Thompson of Dixon Ticonderoga and Anne-Marie Moesch of Zebra Pens.

We discussed how the pandemic has shifted perspectives and accelerated trends. Topics included how brands can engage with the community during these times, as well as patterns and trends in the light of COVID-19. Make sure you download the Trend Report & Resource Guide we used for the session!

Attend Live, Get Connected

We’ll be back on June 24th with our third installment, a conversation between our President & CEO Dave Schofield and Vice President of Sales & Account Management Neil McIntyre, to discuss the state of the industry. These conversations are in Webinar format:

  • Email questions in advance to artdogblog@macphersonart.com.
  • Only panelists are seen: you can watch in your pajamas!
  • Get a feel for Zoom and get inspired to host virtual gatherings for your store or team

Note: Please make sure to register, rather than using a link shared by someone else — this allows us to get a feel for our audience and understand who attended!

Thank You

Special thanks to IT Director Jeff Scholz for orchestrating dress rehearsal and ensuring that everything went smoothly, to composer and musician Jim Semitekol for the intro music and to our panelists, who made time to share their experiences with our industry community. Thank you for your insight, input and energy.
