New GOLDEN Retailer Support Catalog Available Digitally

Introduced at NAMTA, the new Retailer Support Catalog is now available digitally in GOLDEN Marketplace. Giving retailers easy access to the breadth of support items available for all three GOLDEN brands (GOLDEN Acrylics, Williamsburg Oils and QoR Watercolor), the catalog can be found in “Information and Forms / Support Requests”.

Don’t Forget to Order Your Just Paint Experience (JPE) Printmaking Demo Kit

January 9 marked the launch of a new outreach platform to artists, the Just Paint Experience – a new digital content platform featuring ideas and application tips for artists.  Artists can subscribe for free at justpaint.org/exp, and gain access to short demo videos, lesson plans, and other interactive content.  Each month covers a new popular topic, and retailers on Golden’s email list will be provided with assets they can use to promote the monthly theme and offer the JPE subscription to their social media and email audiences.

Two In-store Demo Kit Opportunities Left

Live Demonstration Kits will be available at no cost for stores to create their own in-store demos around different JPE topics in 2019. Each kit is designed with simple and fun exercises that can be presented by store staff, no matter their level of expertise, from easy to follow step-by-step instructions. The kits contain everything needed to conduct multiple demonstrations over a 2-3 hour period.

Kits can be ordered via a link to an order form in the monthly emails from Golden. Each kit must be ordered by a representative in each participating location and the store is responsible for marketing and conducting their own events.

The two remaining demo kits available in 2019 are:

  • 0000P87-0 (JULY: Printmaking Demo Kit – Order through May 17, 2019)
  • 0000P88-0 (OCTOBER: Acrylic Skins Demo Kit – Order through August 16, 2019)

Printmaking (left) includes a demonstration guide, OPEN acrylic colors, gel plate, brayer, printmaking paper, brush and stencil. Incorporate various techniques and tools to make a series of monoprints using OPEN on a gel plate. Acrylic Skins (right) includes demonstration guide, sheet protector, brush, palette knife, and an assortment of gels, pastes and color. Create and layer acrylic skins using a variety of textures and techniques.

GOLDEN Attending Plein Air Convention & Expo 2019 (PACE)

GOLDEN is proud to participate in the Plein Air Convention & Expo (PACE) again this year, which takes place in San Francisco from April 24-28. This key outreach event allows GOLDEN to generate new awareness and trial of its Williamsburg Handmade Oils and OPEN Slow Dry Acrylics among Plein Air artists and instructors. This year GOLDEN will offer painting demos by GOLDEN Working Artist Phil Garrett from its booth at the event, and GOLDEN Creative Director Chris Farrell and Western Region Territory Manager Seth Golden will also be present to engage with artists and answer questions. Other marketing activation will include advertising in the PACE issue of Plein Air Magazine, and a free 5-tube sample assortment of Williamsburg Oils for all attendees, which is perfect for capturing the San Francisco bay.
